Dear Post 5 Members and Friends,

HERE THEY ARE!
NASHVILLE POST 5’s

EVENTS TO REMEMBER

as of Tuesday, April 22, 2018:

Wednesday,  April 24 – Come hear how Operation Song™ is changing the lives of Tennessee veterans one song at a time, 3:30 pm in House Hearing Room 4 on the 1st floor, Cordell Hull Building.
Founded by songwriter Bob Regan (Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, Billy Ray Cyrus and more), Operation Song™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Nashville, Tennessee. Their mission is to empower veterans, active duty military, and their families to tell their stories through the process of songwriting.
Operation SongTM songwriting programs create an opportunity to transform service related issues, injuries and illnesses into a structured, musical outlet as an enhancement of traditional therapies and/or treatments.
Since 2012, they have written over 600 songs with veterans from every major conflict since WWII all the way up to those who are currently serving. Weekly workshops are held in Middle Tennessee and in Chattanooga as well as sponsoring events and group retreats throughout the U.S. Those who are served need no musical background, only the desire to tell their story.
Among the many songwriters who are serving our veterans on a weekly basis are Don Goodman (Blake Shelton, Alabama, George Jones and more) and Steve Dean (Rodney Atkins, George Strait, Alabama and more).
